Native to tropical Asia, the Phalaenopsis is probably the most universally recognized orchid. Also known as the "moth orchid" because when it was first discovered it was said to like moths fluttering in the jungle canopy. The classic white phalaenopsis has a pristine beauty all its own. In this photograph the white petals have a unique iridescent quality.

Five dollars from the sale of each orchid photograph is donated to the American Orchid Society Orchid Conservation Fund.
