On the northernmost tip of the Philippines lies hot and humid island of Fuga, home to this phalaenopsis species. This plant has large flowers with unique pointed and arching sepals. Many of today's hybrid phalaenopsis trace their lineage back to the species known as amabalis.

Five dollars from the sale of each orchid photograph is donated to the American Orchid Society Orchid Conservation Fund.
