RePotme Imperial Phalaenopsis AAA Orchid Mix is hand made with extraordinary ingredients. It is an excellent choice for Phalaenopsis, Doritaenopsis, and Doritis (Doritis and Doritaenopsis are now called Phalaenopsis). We start with plenty of AAA New Zealand Sphagnum Moss, and then toss with medium cork nuggets imported from Portugal and large sponge rock. This orchid mix is the driest of our Phalaenopsis mixes and is our choice for Phalaenopsis in an 8" or larger pot. The Imperial Cube is packed in its own box measuring 10" x 10" by 10" and sealed with a white plastic liner. Our Imperial Orchid Mix orchid mixes are probably the finest plush mixes available anywhere and are perfect for the orchids in your collection. Don't be fooled by lesser grades of sphagnum moss, insist on top quality long fibered AAA New Zealand Sphagnum Moss or the 5 Star Chilean Sphagnum Moss found in our Classic Orchid Mixes.

Phalaenopsis Basics:
Blooms:	Winter-Spring, can bloom year-round
Water:	Likes to be damp, not soggy
Light:	Low light
Temperature:	Warm growing, minimum temp of 55 degrees
Fertilize:	FEED ME! Weakly, weekly Increase amount by 50% from May-September
Growth Habit:	Monopodial, grows 1-3 new leaves per year. Bloom spikes emerge from the base of the 2'nd leaf node from the top, usually in early fall.
Look for:	New leaves in the Summer, Spikes in the Fall, Blooms in the Winter and Spring
Taxonomy:	Genus Phalaenopsis Tribe Vandeae
Natural Cues:	Phals are sensitive to the drop in temperature that comes with fall. If grown indoors the plant should be given 2 weeks of near minimal temperatures in the fall to initiate bloom spikes.
