Cedar
Shredded Cedar Bark, like Cypress Bark, can lower PH in a mix. It has a wonderful aroma and is said to have great anti insect and anti fungal properties. People have been known to use cedar bark to ward off fleas and ticks, and cedar is often used to make Vanda Baskets that orchids love to be mounted in and on. Ours is finely shredded and has few chunks. Unlike Redwood Bark it is not stringy at all.
