Sempervivum is the perfect plant for hot, dry, sunny locations with very well-drained soil. Though they can adapt to a variety of soil types, they perform best in gritty soil. If a groundcover effect is desired, space plants close together because they grow slowly.

Perennial Peggy Hen & Chicks - SEMPERVIVUM 'Peggy'. 4-6" tall, 6-8" spread, full sun. In spring, leaves are purple, transitioning to deep red in summer. Fall and winter colors are more subdued, ranging from mahogany to brown. No matter the season, it provides a unique dark contrast for gardens or containers. Drought & heat tolerant. Deer and rabbit resistant. Zones 3-8. Potted in 3" pots.
